Starting in March of 2021 we began the process of a major rebranding design campaign for Meissner CRES, formally known as Meissner-Jacquét, the number one and largest third-party property management company in San Diego for almost 30 years.

Their new identity reflects the company’s growth and progression from a single-service entity into a full-service enterprise to move the brand forward with a new image and client-centered, integrated service approach. The founding partner to Tim Meissner, Jerry Jacquét, retired six years ago (hence the name change) and Meissner has since evolved to offer new and expanded services with the need for a new brand identity image.

The Brand Identity Workshop we conducted helped form this brand transition into modern and refined visuals that best represent the multi-dimensional professional services Meissner offers for the real estate management industry.

The logo mark/icon we created is an abstract building showcasing the various levels of the new and expanded services Meissner offers. It has shapes inside a shape (dimensions) and can be interpreted as a 3D cube with rooms. The colors and fonts were updated to a more fresh and sophisticated style in order to stay relevant with the changing times. The new logo and branding was applied to just about anything a whole rebrand campaign would require, which took about 6 months.

Meissner announced the name change and rebrand on August 9 to the public with a cover and inside wrap on the San Diego Business Journal (and all other trade publications in print and online) – and to their 40+ employees with new business cards, name plates and a polo shirt - along with champagne of course.

Working with the Meissner team (mainly the VP) was a real pleasure and honor - with frequent in-person meetings and lots of laughs. Our vendors – Sorrento Mesa Promo Printing, Neyenesch, Signarama and San Diego Banner Printing – were supportive and provided exceptional services for all the printing needs.

In closing, a statement from Mr. Meissner that makes Joie Brand Design feel proud to be an integral part of an exceptional company’s future: “Over the years, I’ve been approached many times about selling or merging. The more I thought about it, the more I was committed to creating a legacy brand and keeping the business private and in local hands. Today, I’m excited to say that Meissner is here to stay for the long run fueled by our new brand and with sights set on future growth.”
