Owner and Creative Lead of Joie Brand Design.
I’m a Midwestern girl with a California soul, and am so blessed to call San Diego my home. With my advertising & design agency work experiences in Tampa and Milwaukee under my belt, I made the big move to the West Coast and started my own design studio business.
Working directly with my own clients is very rewarding and what I love doing. Having their trust and respect as their design leader, to build their company’s brand identity experiences, is such an honor and privilege.
When the need arises, I’ll put together my team of experts to create all your deliverables – from brand strategy and design, web design and development to content writing, public relations and marketing, to photography and illustration. Because together is better.
This is a picture that I think best represents me as a person. A sunshine, Joie-full girl, having fun with a like-minded creative bestie.
Lifestyle brands is the niche where I started my career and still gravitate towards. This is where I thrive and do my best work. My innate passion is helping people live their best life through creating designs that speak to them, with purpose behind the work. The team I put together for projects all embody the same level of expertise, mindset, and core values I do. And they all bring something special to the table.
Intuitively, I know good design - you could say it’s because of my work history. Maybe. But I have the gift of easily translating a client’s vision into visuals that resonate with their brand initiative. Some say I’m a Design Whisperer! Over the years, I have developed not only a keen sense of how branding works behind a business, but also how strategic design can elevate one.
Giving back to my community is as fulfilling and rewarding as design is to me. Since I moved to San Diego I’ve been involved with many nonprofits: AIGA San Diego for over 11 years (the professional association for design), AMA San Diego for 4 years (marketing association), Young Audiences of San Diego for 4 years (arts in education advocates), and my church, North Coast Calvary Chapel which is ongoing (Children’s Ministry, Missionary Trip & Women’s Ministry).
It’s part of my mission to Spread Joie, Give Love and Do Good.
